Yeast-free Naan: The Novel Touch For Curry Companion

Ingredients for Yeast-free Naan:
  • Curd (yoghurt) - 1 1/2 tbsp
  • All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda - One pinch
  • Milk - One tbsp
  • Water as needed
  • salt as per requirement
  • Refined oil - 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1 1/4 tsp
  • Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - One tsp
  • Sesame seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Butter - One tbsp

How to prepare Yeast-free Naan:

Step 1) To prepare this side dish food, take a vessel & combine together yoghurt, milk, water, and sugar. Then take a big bowl and sieve all-purpose flour, baking powder, wheat flour, salt and baking soda into it. Now, pour the milk-yoghurt mix to it & crumble with your fingers. Pour sufficient water & knead into a smooth & soft dough.

Step 2) Then, close the dough with a wet muslin cloth & allow it to rest for around ten mins. Post ten mins, pour oil into it & knead the dough one more time. Close the dough one more time with the same muslin cloth & put it beside for a further fifteen mins, till it rises & become doubles in the size.

Step 3) Now, part the dough in similar balls & roll them out in tiny circles to prepare a naan. Spray some onion seeds and sesame seeds on top. (Note: You can also use the dry flour if required.)

Step 4) Next, heat a non-stick vessel on a moderate flame & place the ready naan onto it. Cook each side until the light brown spots begin to display on them. When the naan is cooked well, place it into a serving dish. Brush the top with slightly butter & have it hot with any curry of your preference. Enjoy!
